Closing deals can be challenging to do without seeming pushy or inauthentic. Ideally, people would be attracted to you and chase you, without you having to chase them. However, this is not how many of us have learned or been taught when it comes to sales. The M.O. for most companies includes hard selling and closing the deal no matter how pushy the individual may seem, but is this really the most efficient way? Our guest for today is Oren Klaff who is the Director of Capital Markets at the investment bank Intersection Capital, where he manages its capital-raising platform. Since 2005, Oren has grown the firm to approximately $2 billion in aggregate trade volume across a diversified portfolio of companies and transactions. He is also the author of Pitch Anything and his new book, Flip The Script.    Today we are going to discuss... Is the money in the deal, or is the money in the money? Due to first hand experience and numerous years of seeing different ways people participate in the real estate sector, the conclusion I've come to is that a majority of the money is in the money. Typically, if the money is there, the deal with figure itself out. In this special episode, where the roles are reversed, we discuss this concept and many more that are covered in my book, Raising Capital for Real Estate. Our guest/host for today is Reed Goossens, who is a real estate entrepreneur, investor, author, and public speaker. He moved to the US in 2011 from Australia and purchased his first duplex within his first year of living here. Reed worked in civil/structural engineering before he decided to take the plunge into full time real estate investing and developing. He went on to start RSN Property Group, which is a multifamily syndication investing firm which has been involved in the acquisition of over $60MM worth of real estate to date.   Today we are going to discuss... How to identify and attract a mentor that will give you their playbook for your own success How to systematize your content creation so that you can get 100 pieces of education content created as quickly as possible How to conduct a compelling webinar for investors that you can use over and over again to increase your credibility and close funds without taking your time   Learn more about our guest: Investing In The U.S. Podcast
